Diane Morelos, LMFT
Diane decided that she wanted to become a therapist after having her own life changing experience in therapy as a teenager. While she can help you find fast relief from troubling symptoms, she also recognizes that therapy is a journey of exploration and self-discovery. She is committed to helping you find more than relief from symptoms, by aiding in the pursuit and discovery of deep personal fulfillment.
While Diane is experienced with many issues, she specializes in working with adolescents and adults struggling with depression, anxiety, grief, and loss. She utilizes modern, evidence based treatments, such as cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness interventions, music, art, and talk therapy. While Diane is trained in a variety of therapeutic techniques and interventions, she recognizes that meaningful change is facilitated by a trusting relationship between patient and therapist. She will work to build a strong, supportive, and authentic relationship with you, and will then introduce interventions that are specific to your individual needs.
During your first session with Diane, you can expect her to focus on getting to know you better. This is an important first step, because it forms the foundation of her tailored treatment suggestions. From there, she will help you build skills and strengths, while clarifying the goals you have. She brings a listening ear, an open mind, and a compassionate heart to each session.
