Jacquél Cheathem, M.A., CCC-SLP
Jacquél has always had a passion for helping others. Originally a premed student in college, Jacquél ultimately pivoted to Speech and Language Pathology after realizing she was passionate about accompanying others on a journey of growth, learning, and self improvement.
Jacquél specializes in cognitive-communicative treatment including the evaluation and treatment of deficits in memory, problem-solving, sequencing, though organization/planning, attention and pragmatic skills. She prefers working with clients ranging from teens to adults but she also has experience working with children for articulation and language disorders as well. Jacquél especially enjoys evaluating and developing personalized treatment goals for individuals with dementia and/or psych disorders.
Jacquél believes that a calm, non-threatening (non-judgmental) environment enables an individual to identify, reflect, and face a particular issue head on in order to grow and heal. It also helps to have a healthy support system. Most people who are going through a tough time truly value a safe space where they are able to vent and to be heard. She strives to offer this warm, welcoming, and supportive atmosphere to all of her clients.
