Jasmin Kang, AMFT
Jasmin became a therapist because she wanted to seek a deeper understanding of what makes us all human: our emotional experiences. She understands that difficult emotions can make someone feel stuck and isolated, especially when it feels like we are the only one in the world feeling that way. Jasmin believes emotions are the single greatest thing that connects human beings with one another and she helps by creating a space to allow people to feel and experience that emotional connection, validation, and guidance.
Jasmin strongly values the process of building an authentic connection with each of her clients. Her approach is to embody a genuine curiosity and openness when listening to their stories, life experiences, and learn about the qualities that make them unique.
In each session Jasmine strives to meet each person where they are at, giving them her undivided attention, asking intentional questions to help uncover their greatest strengths. This in turn helps empower them to advocate for their own needs, set necessary boundaries in their relationships, and fully live a life they deserve to live.
Jasmin has worked with teens, college students, young adults, women, creatives, and working professionals, all seeking support in navigating life with depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship conflicts, and self-esteem issues. She specializes in working with adults with ADHD who are struggling to find focus and motivation in their personal lives, and may be dealing with anxiety, burnout, and perfectionism.
When working with Jasmin you can expect a calm, curious, and compassionate presence. She is a genuine and down to earth person, who makes people feel comfortable about opening up. Her hope is that the time you spend together in therapy will leave you feeling heard, understood, grounded, and most of all, supported.
