Johanna Padilla, AMFT

Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

It was curiosity that led Johanna to pursue a career in mental health. She has always been someone to ask a lot of questions. Johanna’s need to better understand the human experience naturally was a good fit for psychology. Johanna feels it is a privilege to walk along, cheer, support, guide, and validate her clients on their journey in therapy. It is in this space that she often finds the push towards healing and reconnecting with one’s authentic self.

Johanna believes that everyone’s life is their own experience and journey, their voice and story. As your clinician, she will be a temporary instrument of support, encouragement, and validation. Johanna prides herself as being personally unbiased, nonjudgmental, and uninfluenced. She feels that therapy is very private, personal, and vulnerable. Johanna believes the therapeutic space is yours and she is there to support you. Therapy is an interactive ongoing process that requires trust to work.

Johanna has experience working with different ages and presenting concerns; Anxiety, ADHD, depression, PTSD, bipolar, family conflicts, sleep disorders, trauma, life adjustments and transitions, stress, and relationship struggles (inclusive of poly). Her therapeutic approach is tailored and dependent on the needs of her client. She predominately considers herself an integrative and enjoys utilizing different modalities to empower and collaborate with clients to find the best suited and most effective techniques to achieve their goals. Inclusive of traditional evidence-based practices to nontraditional and alternative practices.
