Kristin Nason, RD

Registered Dietitian

Kristin first fell in love with food and cooking when she was six years old by watching her grandmothers cook. They proudly shared their love for their family through the food they cooked. She is half Hungarian and half Italian, and her grandmothers helped influence her passion by teaching her about traditional dishes, while incorporating culinary skills and an appreciation of functional nutritional ingredients. After watching family members go through a multitude of health aliments, and noticing how nutrition can affect their health outcomes, Kristin focused her attention into becoming a Clinical Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. Kristin graduated from California State University Long Beach with a B.S. in Nutrition and Dietetics. She then completed her dietetic internship through Oakwood University in Alabama. After her internship, she successfully passed the Commission on Registration Exam to become a Registered Dietitian. Kristin has been working in Nutrition and health for over 18 years, and as an expert in nutrition, Kristin uses her passion and knowledge to promote optimal health and wellness and prevent/manage disease.

Kristin’s philosophy is: “”Let food be thy medicine, and let thy medicine be FOOD.” If food doesn’t taste good, why eat it? She believes that we all have a choice when it comes to our diet, and we can make the choice to nourish it with a variety of nutritious great tasting food. Kristin does not support fad diets, and rather focuses on a permanent and realistic lifestyle change. Many people search for the key to health, and it is Kristin’s mission to help you on your journey to obtain health and wellness by guiding you with Intuitive Eating, joyful movement, and positive life choices. Kristin is excited to help you achieve your health goals.
When working with Kristin, you can expect her to do a 1-hour initial assessment to determine your individual nutrition needs in a compassionate and judgement free space. It is helpful if you have labs, medication, personal and family medical history, and supplements ready for analysis. Kristin will provide you with an individual meal plan to meet your specific needs. Following this, you can set up 1/2-hour sessions for progress updates, so Kristin can continue to make changes if needed and review results of your plan. She looks forward to working with you!
